01 My Dove

When you love someone, you will do anything; pray, fast, exhort, encourage, give consequences, and encourage with praise and rewards.  Finally, we must give that person back to God.  The Lord called out to my son, with the words to this song, and brought him back.   Now, mercy and truth can sit down together, and righteousness and peace can kiss one another, without compromise.

02 The Word  (from John 1)

The free will of God sent His Son in the flesh.  The free will of the Son obeyed His Father, and died for us.  The free will of man can choose to receive the same resurrection life the Father gave to the Son, and live with Him forever.

03 My Servant  (from Isaiah 42)

In Jesus, salvation, healing, deliverance and revelation came to man. In Jesus, justice will be restored to the earth, when he returns in the Second Coming.  He will not be defeated or discouraged.

04 Who is like God?

Meditating on the various Names of God helps me to focus my prayers and stand in faith.  It’s His nature I appeal to, not anything I have done. If my petition is just, He will move, because He cannot deny Himself.

05 Silent Voices (from Psalm 19)

He that has an eye, let him see.  He that has an ear, let him hear.  He that has a mind, let him understand.  All creation testifies to the fact that it was designed, and is not the product of chance.  Give Him praise and thanks!

06 The Refuge (from Isaiah 16)

The god of Moab was Chemosh, and the people of that land killed their own innocent infants, so their lives would be more comfortable, by sacrificing them to that demon.  The young nestlings, who needed refuge to escape destruction, remind me of the millions of children who are killed in the womb each year.  How will we stand before God, if we have not tried to stop it?

07 The Rock (from Exodus 33:18-23)

When Moses asked to see the Glory of God, the Lord said, “If you look on My Face, you will die, but if you hide yourself in the rock that is broken open, you will live when I pass by in My Glory.”  When my spirit cried out to God my flesh cowered in dread.  The Lord said, “Get into the Rock and you will live.”  When I see my flesh as me, I hide from God.  When I see myself in Christ, I am bold.

08 Job

To choose to honor God, even when your eyes are filled with tears, is to offer the sacrifice of praise.  It cost me dearly to learn the wisdom in these words.  However, though I have some experience with the sufferings, I never had Job’s  integrity, and too much of my suffering came down on me from my own sin.
